Join Endowed Chair for Conservation & Biodiversity Dr. Dale Gawlik as he contrasts the way in which populations of the Wood Stork and Whooping Crane have grown and why they might have different responses to the environmental changes ahead. The Wood Stork and Whooping Crane are both recovering from dramatic population declines, more severe for the crane than the stork.  But rapid environmental changes currently underway will pose new challenges to individuals that do not have the flexibility to exploit novel habitat and food.
