Hailey Racioppo
B.S. Environmental Science, Chatham University (2023)
Haley Racioppo is Research Specialist in the Coastal Water Health Lab, and joined HRI in July 2025.
She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry from Chatham University. After completing an NSFREU project with Dr. David Costello (Kent State University), she developed a strong interest in
elemental cycling in aquatic systems. This led her to pursue a M.S. in Biology at the University of Central Arkansas with Dr. Halvor Halvorson.
Her research assistantship focused on the continuous monitoring of a drinking water reservoir, and her thesis investigates internal phosphorus and nitrogen loading within the system. Haley is excited to expand her knowledge into marine systems, particularly in the Coastal Water Health lab's focus areas of nutrient pollution, elemental cycling, and harmful algal blooms.
