A Septic System Maintenance Workshop is schedule from 10 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. on June 4th at Texas A&M Kingsville’s Engineering Complex, Room 109. (917 W. Ave B, Kingsville, TX 78363).
Parking will be available across the street in Lot F.
This free workshop is offered as an educational component of the San Fernando & Petronila Creeks Watershed Protection Plan, and will cover best practices for operating and maintaining home septic systems, common problems and solutions, and available resources. Funding for this workshop is provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as part of a Clean Water Act Section 319(h) Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Lunch will be provided for workshop attendees, with generous support from H-E-B’s Our Texas Our Future campaign.
Attendees who live or own property within the San Fernando or Petronila Creek watersheds will be eligible to apply to a grant program offering free septic system pump-outs.
Whether you live or work in the watershed, want to learn more about ongoing conservation efforts, or simply want to support the Bringing Baffin Back initiative, this workshop is a great opportunity to get involved in conservation efforts that benefit both upstream lands and downstream waters.
