Harte Research Institute is pleased to announce the posting of two Chair positions!

Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is now inviting applications for 1) an Endowed Chair for Biodiversity and Conservation and 2) an HRI Chair for Ecosystem Science & Modeling. Both positions are tenure-eligible at the Associate or Full Professor rank in either the Department of Life Sciences or Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences.

Endowed Chair for Biodiversity and Conservation

We seek applicants with a distinguished record of research in coastal and marine ecosystems focused on addressing biodiversity and conservation at population, community, and ecosystem scales. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong field-based research programs. The position is tenure-eligible at the Associate or Full Professor level in either the Department of Life Sciences or Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences.

HRI Chair for Ecosystem Science and Modeling

We seek an ecosystem scientist with a distinguished record of research that addresses pressing environmental issues in marine and coastal ecosystems. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong ecosystem modeling capabilities, although we will give equal consideration to candidates with expertise in other areas of ecosystem science.
