Ian Gerlach

Ian Gerlach is a senior at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi studying environmental science and will graduate in the Spring of 2024. He is currently an intern with the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation at HRI where he assists fellow coworkers with their graduate projects, logs and analyzes Sharkathon/Texas shark rodeo results, and participates in field work.

Ian has always been interested in working with fish and wildlife management/conservation which lead him to TAMU-CC and HRI. He has a broad range of hobbies and interests including all sports, music, hunting, fishing, and many other recreational outdoor activities. His future plans involve ranching, aquaculture, wildlife management, and marine/coastal conservation.
