Jacob started his undergraduate work at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in the fall of 2019 pursuing a B.A in Environmental Science. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Jacob wanted to become a professional chef, even attaining his own menu item at a nationwide restaurant in the spring of 2019. However, Jacob's passion for wanting to protect the world's oceans and marine life brought him down to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Jacob joined the Harte Research Institute team in the summer of 2020 as a Student Research Assistant in the Fisheries and Ocean Health lab. As a Student Research Assistant, Jacob works on identifying and sorting larval fish from toxicology samples from various research projects and is gaining valuable experience in the laboratory.
