In 2014, Cory Staryk received a Masters of Science in Earth and Ocean Sciences studying net community metabolism along the shelf waters of the Eastern North American coast, including the Middle Atlantic Bight, Gulf of Maine, and Georges Banks. Mr. Staryk started working with Dr. Xinping Hu in 2015 as a research technician working on the carbon cycle in south Texas estuaries and ocean acidification monitoring projects with the Flower Garden Banks Sanctuary.
