Anthony Lima is a Ph.D. student in the Coastal and Marine System Science Program at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi. He is a NOAA CCME scholar focused on the development of marine resource use and socio-economic considerations in marine resource management. He received a M.S. in Ocean, Coastal and Earth Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he studied the fishery management network of the Gulf of Mexico. This exploratory research investigated cooperation, trust, and information sharing between a wide array of actors within the Gulf of Mexico. He received his B.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland University College while serving in the United States Navy.

His research at HRI will investigate the plausibility of expanded aquaculture in Texas, as well as working to understand the most logical methods for reducing risk involved in any large-scale aquaculture operation.
