Anastasia Canu

From a very young age, growing up in Oak Harbor, Washington, Anastasia found joy in learning about the marine world and held onto that passion while later moving and growing up in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating high school in 2019 and also earning her Associates Degree in liberal arts, Anastasia jumped into her studies at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi as a junior. At TAMUCC she is currently a senior majoring in Biology with a Marine Biology concentration set to graduate in the spring of 2022. From there, she plans to pursue her educational career into graduate school.

Anastasia currently works with the Fisheries & Ocean Health group at HRI and is excited to grow from the experience. On her free time, she enjoys being outside with her pets or pouring her creative energy into her artwork for her small business.
